Vision for the development of
Pune Cantonment Assembly Constituency

Water Issue: A well-planned scheme will be developed to ensure ample water supply in the constituency
through consultations and discussions with Pune Municipal Corporation, Cantonment
Board officers, and other stakeholders.
Traffic Issue: To address traffic woes, particularly in Camp and Ghorpuri Bazar, elevated roads and a
multi-level parking system will be introduced in the constituency.

Increase Revenue: Efforts will be made to boost the revenue of the Cantonment Board, which will help fund
various development projects within the constituency.
Nokari Bhavan: A private employment exchange will be established to provide job opportunities for
educated unemployed youth from the constituency.
Education: Students in the constituency will receive primary education alongside advanced technology
and computer training. A Coordination Committee will be formed to facilitate
communication among school administrators, parents, and students. A special scheme will
also be launched to ensure safe travel for school students.

Protection of Women: A Bachat Gat facility will be established for women in the constituency, mirroring initiatives
by the State Government and PMC. In light of the rising crime rates against women and
senior citizens, stringent measures will be implemented to address these issues.
Valmik Bhavan: A dedicated Valmik Bhavan will be constructed for the development and betterment of
members of the Valmik Mehtar Samaj, with support from the Maharashtra Government.
Health: Alongside the development of Sasson Hospital, a new advanced government hospital will
be established with assistance from the Maharashtra Government. Renovations will also be
carried out at Sonawane Hospital, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital, and Kamala Nehru
Hospital.
Societies: A special internal development scheme will be launched to improve existing housing
societies, pending approval from the Maharashtra Government.
Rainwater Drainage: To safeguard huts around water bodies and protect citizens from flood-like situations, a
specialized scheme will be implemented to effectively drain rainwater.
Hawker Issues: Pending issues faced by hawkers in Shivaji Market, Kumbhar Bawadi, Pune Station,
Fashion Street, and other areas will be resolved.
Temple Development: Bhawani Peth, home to Maharashtra's revered Goddess Bhawani Mata and India's first Lord
Balaji Temple with a sitting idol of Balaji, will see a special project aimed at enhancing these
temples, along with the installation of a welcome arch.
Sports: Gymnasium equipment will be provided for various gyms and mandals. Well-equipped
gyms will be built to match the standards of private gyms. Additionally, the Dobarwadi
Football Ground will be developed into an international stadium.
